The 'Power Player' is a special idea where the IPL teams will declare 15 players rather than last 11 and a player 'can be substituted' at either the fall of a wicket or toward the finish of the over any-time in the game.
According to information received by the BCCI officials of the Indian Cricket Board, the power player concept has been approved. "Under the new rules, each team will have to declare a team of 15 players instead of 11 players before the match," the official added.
